Although the mountains in Austria are not as high as in neighbouring Switzerland, France or Western Italy they still get plenty of snow in the winter and it is very cold. Skiing is best either in early winter and the spring season. The area has slopes for all levels of skiing so a great place for families, group or singles holidays.
