Moravia - Silesia

The Moravia Silesia is partly located in the north-eastern section of Moravia and the other part falls into the Czech territory of Silesia. In context to Bohemia, Moravia-Silesia is one of the most significant regions. In the Middle Ages, the region was traversed by the famous Amber Trail. In then became an important economic centre during the 19th century during the reign of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Popular as a highly industrial region, Moravia Silesia is also called the Steel Heart of the Country.
