Cornwall Golf

Get out your clubs and head to Cornwall where you will have over three dozen marvellous golf courses to choose from.

The West Cornwall course is an 18-hole, par 69 and par 73. West Cornwall is a true Links course with very fine turf. It has the widespread reputation of being a test for both the low and higher handicap players alike. It is the oldest Club in Cornwall, overlooking St. Ives Bay. Facilities include bar, pro-shop, putting green and practice ground. A handicap certificate is required.

Visitors and non-members are always welcome at the Praa Sands Golf Course. It is located on the A394, in between Penzance and Helston. This 18-hole course overlooks beautiful Mounts Bay. You can view the sea from every green on the course. This course is a challenging par 62 for men, par 64 for ladies. It is open every day of the year. No handicap is required to play this course.

On the North Cornwall coast, the Ivyleaf Golf Course is a 9-hole, 1900 yard parkland course. It is a pay as you play, par 30. Everyone is welcome and no handicap is required. Ivyleaf is open 7 days a week. It is located three miles north of Bude between Stratton and Kilkhampton.

Bowood Golf Club is another fabulous course. It has received rave reviews from Golf Monthly Magazine. The course is found amidst 230 acres of rolling hills and woodlands. Bowood is regarded as one of the leading parkland golf courses in Cornwall's southwest region. This course features U.S.G.A. specification greens and offers year-round golfing. It is suitable for all golfers.

A great training curriculum and winter workshops are provided by the David Short Golf School at Budock Vean Golf Club. Here you will find a 9-hole and 18 tee parkland course, designed by James Braid. It is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty overlooking the Helford River.
