Balloon rides include three hours of flight and a champagne toast. Upon request, a picnic basket or a buffet can be organized following the flight.
In Reims, visitors can stop at Reims Cathedral, the famous cathedral where French kings were once crowned. Reims Cathedral is a Gothic Cathedral which is renowned for its height. It features interior carvings of Biblical scenes and intricate stained glass windows. Reims is also home of the Hotel des Contes de Champagne, a fine Gothic merchant's house, and the Town Hall, which dates back to the 17th century.
Champagne-Ardenne is home to many champagne houses and chalk caves used to store and age champagne. Most houses have guided tours during the day for a small fee. Tours generally include samples. Tours can be scheduled by calling the champagne houses directly. Some of the popular champagne houses include Veuve Cliquot, Piper Heidsieck, Taittinger, Pommery and Ruinart.
Champagne-Ardenne offers many great museums to its visitors, including the Musee de Beaux Artes, an art museum, and the War Museum. In Reims, visitors can enjoy a show at the main Theatre, which shows opera and culture shows, La Comedie, showing 20th century drama and film art, or La Cartonnerie, featuring alternative performance and musical acts.
