Many properties include Jacuzzi tubs, saunas, and a private barbeque area for intimate dining. Maid service is also available for a small additional fee at many locations.
The Bad Reichenhaller Saltmuseum in Bad Reichenhall is a mid-19th century plant which is now open to visitors. The plant is home to the industry that is responsible for the city's growth and prosperity from Celtic times to the modern day. Tours of the plant are given from April 1 until October 31.
The Konigliches Schloss Berchtesgaden is a museum housed in what was once the palace for the royal Wittelsbach family. The museum is dedicated to sacred art, and includes collections of wood sculptures from famous artists including Veit Stoss and Tilman Riemenschneider. The museum is also home to a gallery of 19th-century art, Italian furniture from the 16th century, and 17th and 18th century pistols and guns. Tours of the museum are given at 20 minute intervals throughout the day.
Frauenchiemsee is an island lake which is home to Torhalle, an art gallery which is only open during the summer months. The art gallery is housed in an ancient hall which used to be the gatehouse of the Frauenworth convent.
The Neueus Schloss in Herrenchiemsee is a castle built by Ludwig II in 1878. The castle was to be a replica of Versailles, but work on the castle stopped upon Ludwig's death in 1886. Although only the centre of the castle has been completed, it offers many exquisite rooms to its visitors. The palace's most famous room is the Great Hall of Mirrors, which features 17 door panels, gigantic mirrors, 33 crystal chandeliers and 44 gilded candelabra. The room's vaulted ceiling is covered with paintings depicting the life of Louis XIV.
