Villaway offers a variety of options to seek out your qualifying holiday accommodation tailored to assist depending on your priorities from your vacation. You can use any of the links within menu to short cut you to our intuitive quick, advanced or pinpoint searches or alternatively your chosen holiday theme, activity, accommodation type or location as well as special offers. Alternatively you can click on a particular geographical region at the home page or one of scrolling images to select your desired holiday theme.

Our Quick Search presents you with our unique real time update of all qualifying accommodation. Throughout your searching process you will be continuously updated with the current number of properties that still satisfy your refining requirements. This avoids being greeted with the frustrating message advising that ‘no properties match your criteria’. Simply select either your dates or destination using the alternative interactive maps or drop down lists, and then choose from our most commonly requested features.

If you find there are too many properties to choose from simply click on the ‘more search options’ and we'll take you to our Advanced Search process, where you can select more features from our search categories.

With our Advanced Search you can refine your search using any or each of our categories to find properties that perfectly match for your holiday rental accommodation requirements. You can set your own order of priority for the categories by clicking the up or down arrows under the CATEGORY heading. Within any particular category the numbers in brackets beside a feature indicate the total number of properties that have the feature.

1. Destination
Choose your destination using either our interactive Map Search or our Location Search. Either destination finder allows you to select just one destination or multiple locations to choose from.

2. Dates

We offer three alternative options within the date selection process. You can select ‘any dates’, ticking this box will present all options available.
If you know exactly when you want to go on holiday, select ‘Fixed Travel Plans’ entering your chosen dates and we’ll show you only those properties that are available. If you can be more flexible, click on ‘Flexible Travel Plans’ and use our unique time frame search which allows you to select a period and the number of days holiday you want. We’ll find any properties that are available during that period.

3. Themes and Activity themes
If you wish to enjoy a popular activity or theme on your holiday you can select from a wide range of options in this category – whether it’s a romantic break for two or a skiing holiday for the whole family.

4. Setting

The property settings is sub divided into three sections so that you can select exactly what type of surroundings you prefer, what is in the vicinity and how close you prefer the local amenities to be from your sought after holiday property.
So if you want a property that’s close to a beach, or in the mountains, you can specify what you want in your surroundings – both close by and further afield.

5. Features
With our wide range of features, you can be as specific as you want about the property you’re looking for. The range of features spans from the sleeping capacity, property type, specific details as to who the property would suitable for through to swimming pool and general features. If it has to sleep 7 and have a washing machine, for example, you can quickly select those features.

6. Activities
Our Activity sub categories help you to find the most suitable accommodation with the activities you seek and enjoy within close proximity – whether they are indoor, outdoor, the arts, tourist attractions or varieties of sporting.

We have made it quick and easy for you to start looking for holiday accommodation for your particular holiday theme. Simply choose your theme, and then your destination and we’ll do the rest. To add more features to your search simply click the ‘more search options’ links which can be accessed either before or after you have clicked the ‘view results’ button.

We have also grouped our holidays accommodation into popular activities. If you want a skiing holiday, for example, select Skiing and then your destination and you’ll see all our properties near ski fields. Again, to add more features to your search, simply click the ‘more search options’ links which can be accessed either before or after you have clicked the ‘view results’ button.

If you have a preference for a particular holiday home type then Villaway has provided a selection of short cuts for searches for the most popular holiday home types. From the summary of results you can then either select your destination using the interactive map or the drop down lists. Alternatively you can identify the size of your party and your preferred dates to narrow your qualifying vacation properties. At the foot off the page Villaway provide a set of alternative short cuts for Popular Locations, your nominated property type in alternative locations and alternative property types in alternative locations.

Our Specials section allows our holiday seeker the opportunity to take a short cut to properties where ‘Short Breaks’, ‘Late Deals’ and ‘Offers’ have been advertised by our property owners.
