The Passeggiata delle Mura is a ring of ramparts which surrounds Lucca's historic centre. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll around the ramparts and enjoy the sights of Lucca, which is home to many historic cathedrals, churches and museums. Bucadisantantonio in Lucca features gourmet Tuscan food including meat-stuffed pasta and roasted goat meat. The restaurant features an elegant white-wall interior hung with copper pots and brass musical instruments.

Visitors can watch open air operas performed by the Opera Theatre of Lucca in the summer months. From September through May visitors can see operas, plays and concerts at the Teatro del Giglio.

The Orto Botanico in Siena offers a serene respite from an exciting day; visitors can enjoy beautiful views of the countryside. Guided tours in English are available, but reservations are necessary.
