Located in a 16th century house, the Het Groot Paradys in Middelburg is a renowned restaurant with traditional town house décor and sparkling chandeliers. The restaurant serves French cuisine made with local ingredients. Many dishes feature seafood and oysters are also served. The wine list includes famous French, Australian, and New Zealand labels. De Mug in Middelburg is a bar with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bar offers an enormous selection of beer, including the restaurant's own beer, Mug Bitter. The bar features live jazz performances on the last Tuesday of every month. Rockdesert in Middelburg is a bar which attracts many young adults in their twenties, and features loud, throbbing music.Visitors can take an open top boat tour to see the town's beautiful canals. Tours leave from Lange Viele Bridge.

Nolet's Restaurant Het Reymerswale in Yerseke is the town's most elegant restaurant, featuring classic seafood dishes including grilled turbot, sea bass, and lobster, from April to July. The restaurant's interior also displays many historic artifacts. The restaurant also has a plush lounge area, an immense aquarium, and a view of the water.
