Muntenia - Golf

Steeped in folklore and rich in heritage, Muntenia is located in the mountainous region of Romania. From the end of April to the end of October is the most popular Romania sightseeing period, with generally mild and pleasant temperatures. Plans are underway to build the 'Transylvanian Golf and Country Club' in nearby Brasov. The golf course will be part of a multi use sports complex called 'The Transylvanian Village'. When finished, the complex will features a racing course, riding facilities, tennis arena, spa, off road biking, mountain biking, fishing, skiing and more. The complex will be a 365 days a year facility where locals, Romanian or foreign tourists can live, work and/or enjoy a unique holiday.

Golfers will also enjoy nearby facilities such as Lac de Verde, a deluxe golf club in Prahova country. It is the first official golf course in Romania, in accordance with PGA standards. The 9 hole, par 32 course sits at an altitude of 700 m. Equipment for rental is available. The Diplomatic Club in Bucharest offers a 9 hole golf course and driving range. Pianu de Jos golf course in Alba County has 9 holes and covers 35 hectares.
