Bothwell Castle Golf Club has refurbished the club house to give even more facilities and gets you driving hard with the par five at the first hole. This flat, parkland style course will challenge any level of player and is one of the premier golf courses in Central Scotland.

The Port Glasgow Golf Club is one of the oldest in the county. Located at Devol Farm this par 68 moorland course lies on the hills directly above Port Glasgow. One can well imagine the stunning views on offer.

Helensburgh Golf Club offers wonderful views over Clyde Estuary and across Loch Lomond. This is in a very convenient position for the Glasgow and Central Scotland area. Its moorland setting has many tests of natural hazards and well placed bunkers.

The Royal Troon Golf Club will hold the Senior Open Championship in 2008. It began as a purely local course but quickly outgrew that standing. Now, its Old Course is considered the most demanding of any course in the championship Rota. There are 3 courses here to wet your golfing appetite. On the Old Course dare to contend with wind, gorse and broom, be accurate or pay the price. The Portland Course is more sheltered than the Old Course and shorter, but you won't have seen the last of the gorse and broom here. Craigend Course with its nine 3 par holes and small greens can be tricky but it is perfect for juniors, the elderly and beginners. Relaxed family golfing at its best.
