West Switzerland - Golf

Switzerland is known as the paradise of Europe, and the western side of the country is one of the most picturesque regions. The Franches Montagnes in the Neuchâtel region and the foothills of the Alps in Fribourg are excellent for hiking and fishing. In Fribourg, the Gottéron Valley provides a network of walks. See stone cutters at work or observe the trout at the fish farm along the way. Fribourg also offers great skiing. With the natural scenic beauty of the surrounding Alps and with many spectacular courses at hand you won't be able to resist getting out on a golf course. When you think of Switzerland you think of the Alpine peaks as dominating the whole country but that is not true as there are valleys and surrounding lakes that add to this formidable country.

The Domaine Imperial is surrounded by incredible woodlands and was designed by Peter Dye and established in 1987 but only officially inaugurated in 1988. This course has 18 holes, amongst wooded parkland. It is located 26 km north of Genève. A great place to take a day out of your busy golfing schedule and enjoy everything Geneve has to offer. In 2003 Golf World ranked this fantastic course 69th best in Continental Europe.

Golf Club de Lausanne was established in 1921 and is an excellent parkland course nestled in a sleepy town. It is maintained year round and is in excellent condition. You can play on rolling greens without the risk of hilly terrain. A good variety of holes will ensure you have an excellent all round game and test your golfing skills. It was designed by Narbel. This beautiful course has 18 holes, mixed parkland and a few slopes to climb all within rural surroundings.

Guests can enjoy the luxurious accommodation available in one of our beautiful houses, villas, or apartments. Many properties include jacuzzi, hot tubs, pools, and some have a private barbeque area for informal dining. Maid service is also available for a small additional fee at many locations.
