Why not explore the beauty of diving in Sardinia, Italy. It's the perfect destination to enjoy the Italian way of life and is home to some fantastic diving. The second largest island in the Mediterranean offers avid divers marine caves and cliffs to explore. The beauty of diving in the region of Sardinia is that you can dive here all year round.

The South of France and in particular the area from St Tropez to the Porquerolles islands contains perfect diving spots for those interested in exploring abandoned wrecks. Warm in temperature this area is home to a number of wrecks dotted along its sandy ocean bed just waiting to be explored.

For many years the Maltese islands have been considered a key diving destination and are the perfect place for exploration offering adventurous diving. Because of the islands landscape divers will encounter reef wrecks, rocky surfaces, archways, tunnels and caves ripe for discovery. In addition to natural arches and beautiful reefs, Malta is home to a number of World War Two wrecks which lie in deep water. These include the S-class British submarine HMS Stubborn, a Spitfire and a Blenheim bomber. For those seeking less demanding depths there are other exciting wreckages from this period to explore.

When in Cyprus the popular diving destinations are in the Ayia Napa and Paphos area. Scuba diving in Cyprus is a magical experience offering divers clear visibility, warm waters, wonderful marine life including turtles, octopus' and numerous other fish coupled with enthralling coral and plant life.

Other interesting sites to dive in Cyprus are located near Larnaca, and Limassol while those looking for unspoiled diving should head for the rugged Akamas peninsula, on the North Western tip of the island. Many divers in this region have regularly reported seeing pieces of pottery and other ancient artefacts on the sea floor, but please remember you are only allowed to appreciate the beauty of these items, removal of any antiques or unique findings including plant life is strictly forbidden.

Greece is home to some of the most popular diving destinations include Rhodes, Crete and the Aegean coast. Some of the dive sites are scattered with 2,000-year-old amphorae and many of these ancient pots are located within close proximity to the ancient merchant vessels that sank in winter storms and are often used by maritime archaeologists to assess the age and nationality of the wreck.

Greece is renowned for its spectacular cave dives, with several systems open to advanced divers. Those wishing to explore the ancient wreckages in The Aegean Sea, most of which are not suitable for recreational divers, will discover a wonderful array of small fish and groupers as well as octopus when exploring these historical landmarks.
