California

California is located along the amazing Pacific Ocean. The coastline in the north could not be more different than the coast in the south. The cliffs in the north and the sandy beaches in the south allow you to visit California and see two very different types of beaches. The wind-blown cliffs in the north are ideal for hiking while the beaches in the south are great for surfing and just sitting on the sand enjoying the sun.

San Francisco is one of the most historic cities in California. A vacation in the city is not complete without crossing the San Francisco Bay Bridge and a trip on a ferry to Alcatraz Island. The Alcatraz Prison is one of the most famous, and frightening, landmarks in the state. The only way to get out to the island is the ferry trip across the bay. This amazing church is a great place to take in the magnificent architecture.
