South Wales – Luxury

In South Wales, you can take in breathtaking scenery, explore interesting towns, stroll through award winning gardens and along golden beaches, and step into an impressive history and memorable culture.

South Wales's Swansea Bay is a wonderful combination of city life, coastal wonders, and stunning countryside. Here you'll find magnificent gardens and parks, great shopping, and first rate cultural and sporting facilities. You can enjoy the Dylan Thomas Centre, the Wales National Pool, the Liberty Stadium, Wales's biggest indoor market, and the National Waterfront Museum.

Cardiff is the vivacious Welsh capital, offering great shopping, lively nightlife, bountiful arts and culture, and a history going back to Roman times. You can discover a castle fit for a fairytale, the renowned Millennium Stadium, and expanses of beautiful parkland. Cardiff Bay is a lovely opportunity for waterfront dining and taking in a show at the Wales Millennium Centre.

You can fly a glider over the magnificent Brecon Beacons National Park, which covers 519 square miles and is home to Britain's highest Old Red Sandstone summit, Pen y Fan. The town of Carmarthen is steeped in legend that suggests it is the birthplace of the wizard Merlin, giving the town its Welsh name of Caerfyrddin (Merlin's Fort). The town is home to Britain's westernmost fortress, as well as Norman's Castle. It hosts a weekly farmers market and has great shopping. Its village of Laugharne on the Taf estuary is where Dylan Thomas wrote some of his famous works. Pembrokeshire is truly stunning, with its diverse coastline, national park, beautiful Barafundle Bay, and some of the best beaches in Britain. You can walk the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, experience the lovely St. David's Cathedral, and check out the Skomer Island Nature Reserve.

Regional delicacies are fresh seafood like oysters, mussels, scallops, lobster and sea trout, seaweed based laverbread, fruit loaf and griddle scones, lamb and beef, Welsh milk, butter and cheeses, smooth whisky, and sweet elderberry wine and blackberry port.

We offer luxurious accommodation in South Wales, houses, apartments, cabins and bungalows that serve as a wonderful home base for your exploration of this fantastic destination in Britain. Our superior lodgings are spacious and comfortable, and most come complete with world class extras such as a relaxing jacuzzi hot tub, an invigorating sauna, a private barbecue area for your casual dining enjoyment, and dependable maid service for only a modest fee.
