West Wales – Luxury

West Wales is a coast lovers paradise. Miles of lovely coastline with wonderfully diverse terrain lace the western edge of majestic Wales. Add to that charming towns and seaside resorts, enticing attractions, and a plethora of both laid back and adventure-themed activities, and you have a wonderful holiday destination.

We accommodate West Wales visitors in style. With our luxury lodgings ranging from houses and apartments to cabins and bungalows, you can choose the type of vacation getaway spot to best satisfy your needs and desires. Many of our properties come with top-notch amenities such as a soothing Jacuzzi hot tub, an invigorating sauna, a private barbecue area, a refreshing swimming pool, and excellent maid service for a modest fee.

On the shores of Cardigan Bay, perched in the foreground of the dramatic Cambrian Mountains, you’ll find the lively resort town of Aberystwyth. Here you can visit the National Library of Wales, the Ceredigion Museum, and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre. You can also take a steam train along the Vale of Rheidol Railway, which traverses some of the U.K.’s most rugged terrain and gives amazing views. Being at the mouth of the Rheidiol and Ystwyth valleys, the town offers great strolls, and the nearby Plynlimon Hills are perfect for mountain biking and hiking.

The West Wales town of Pembrokeshire is truly stunning, with its breathtaking landscape, rugged coastline, postcard-perfect beaches, and pristine blue waters, like those of beautiful Barafundle Bay. Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is Britain’s only coastal park. The Welsh-invented activity of Coasteeing puts you in a wet suit and hard hat as you climb across cliffs to jump into the sea for some white water swimming! Kayaking is popular here, as is walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Pembrokeshire attractions include St. David’s Cathedral, Pembroke Castle, and Skomer Island Nature Reserve.

Caernarfon is a historical market town that enjoys a spot on the edge of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park. Here you can explore the impressive castle of Edward I and the Segontium Roman Museum, as well as hop a ride on the Welsh Highland Railway. Caernarfon also offers great shopping and fine eateries.

The country market town of Carmarthen sits by the River Tywi and houses Britain’s westernmost fortress, Moridunum, as well as a sizeable amphitheatre. You can also explore the ruins of Norman Castle. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is the world’s biggest single span glass house.

West Wales’s regional food offerings are plentiful, from fresh seafood to prized seaweed bread to fruit jams, sweet butter, honeys and chutneys. You’ll find a diversity of cheeses, world-famous lean Welsh Black Beef and Mountain Lamb, smooth whisky, and sweet elderberry wine.
